SHERLOCK HOLMES THE MOVIE! I AM SPEECHLESS

IMDB SHERLOCK HOLMES LINK

I haven't read any Sherlock Holmes books or seen any of the movies from yesteryear either, but I am pretty sure that this movie didn't have anything to do with the original characters.  I think a better name for the movie would be, "The Adventures of Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law", because that is all I saw.  It was Bobby and Jude beating up bad guys like a marathon of Kung Fu Theater.  Now I am actually going to have to read a book by Sir Arthur  Conan Doyle so I can erase this farce from my memory.  I am not saying this is a bad movie, it is okay, and I think many people will like it, but don't expect any big surprises.  It's kinda like Goonies on steriods, but not good.   The acting is fine, the action is fine, but the story is pretty bad.  It's another, "Hey, let's get some superstars and make a movie, their fans will go see them in anything."  Don't buy it.  You can rent, don't buy.  One more reminder, it is long.  For a Sherlock Holmes movie I rate it a 3.0 out of 10 and for a action adventure it is  a 7.0 out of 10!  Happy Easter!
