Every hear of this movie? Me either, but how can you possibly pass up on a movie called 'City Island'. This is an actual place, in New York City, somewhere near the Bronx I think they said. It's a comedy, or so they said it was. I thought is was a drama, but it is actually described as both. How can that be? So what is the movie about? A typical hardworking american family that has been decieving each other for a number of decades only to finally face the truth in the end. Andy Garcia was the big star of this, his acting is excellent, and so was the rest of the casts. Warning though, they all smoke, but hide it from one another, and that is probably why it got a PG-13 rating. Can someone please explain why smoking would have any bearing on a movies rating? It's insane. We all get it, smoking is not good for you but you can't get second or third hand smoke from watching a movie. Ridiculous! So, as for the movie, it's a good one. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you want something decent to watch for a couple of hours, good story and a few laughs, this is a nice choice for that rainy day. I say it's a 7.5 out of 10.
