I was thinking the other day that this movie, which is AWESOME, could be a good remake.  Apparently I am not the only one.  It's not that I think it needs remade, but rather I would love to see a new modern day version of the same film.  Sometimes, remakes are just that, modern versions of the original piece.  Remakes also tend to be remakes, as in a total makeover, and it seems that is where the new version is headed.  Not good.  Hollywood should understand that we like the original, so if you stay true to form, we will go and see it again anyway, because we love the story and love HD and 3-D and giant screens.  Check out the article, and who knows, maybe they will surprise us with something worth traveling snow covered roads for.
