DVD Review DEFIANCE

IMDB INTERNET REVIEW

This is a good movie that didn't get a lot of press.  It's based off a true story that reminds you a bit of Schindlers List.   It's back during the war against the Nazi's and how jewish brothers escaped and set up a forest community the ended up saving over a thousand lives.   The people that were saved now number in the tens of thousands of family that have grown over the generations.  This movie is well directed, acted and told.  I don't know how accurate it really is, because there was alot of action, but it is a movie afterall that is only based off of a true story.  I would like to see more stories like this told on the big screen because I don't feel like I wasted my time watcing it.  I learned something of substance. It's an action and drama.  It's seems pretty realistic and I will rate it a 8.0 out of 10.  It's not for everyone, but if you like history then this one is for you.
